TOP Best Home Theater Systems You can Buy Anywhere

1. Dali Oberon 5 5.1 Speaker Package

Lean, attractive, fascinating and unfussy: both the aesthetics and the acoustics of these clever performers are equally suited to these terms.

Upfront are the award-winning floorstanders of Dali Oberon 5. The surroundings are either the five-star stand-mounters of Dali Oberon 1 (£1699), which is the kit we reviewed, or the portable speakers of Dali On-Wall (£1799). The Sub E9-F is your subwoofer, while the center of the Obereron Vokal is a real star in the east.

All frequencies are presented in full by the Dali Oberon 5 5.1 device, but with authenticity and warmth that brings the best out of any soundtrack.

2. Q Acoustics 3050i 5.1 Cinema Pack

5.1 Black Q Acoustics 3050i Cinema Package, Rs 131120 /pack My Audio Visuals | ID: 22408724088

The Q Acoustics 3050i 5.1 Cinema Pack is confidently cinematic and incredibly entertaining, and doesn't really take up as much room as you would have expected of its sound.

For your left and right channels, you get a pair of 3050i floorstanders, 3010i stand mounts for the environment, the beautifully articulate 3090i center speaker and 3060S subwoofer.

The vitality and exuberance of the system is contagious, without being tired, and a great deal of wisdom and insight often complement those characteristics.

Without forgoing the snappy timing of their more diminutive partners, the strength and bass weight provided by the 3050i caters to greater intensity.

3. Wharfedale DX-2

Wharfedale DX-2 5.1 Speaker System (Black): Amazon.co.uk: Hi-Fi & Speakers

When you have limited space, it's easy to balk at the thought of adding a complete 5.1 surround sound kit into your home, but Wharfedale has just the solution.

The Wharfedale DX-2 is a lightweight, charming and extremely capable 5.1 surround speaker package that has already dramatically reduced its launch price, a follow-up to the excellent DX-1HCP and DX-1SE speaker packages.

Go up the price scale and you'll find more articulate, more precise and bigger-sounding speaker packages (such as the Q Acoustics 3010i 5.1 Cinema Pack). They cost twice what the Wharfedale does, however. 4. Q Acoustics 3010i 5.1 Cinema Pack

Q Acoustics 3010i 5.1 Cinema Pack speaker system review | Home Cinema Choice

The 3010i 5.1 Cinema Kit is another multi-Award winner, almost similar to the Q Acoustics package above, except with a second pair of 3010i standmounts substituted for front right and left channels.

The hi-fi origins of these speakers are made evident right from the off, stressing in depth, dynamic speech and a surefooted sense of rhythm. However, what could be more shocking, given their small footprint, is just how much size is on offer.

5. Monitor Audio Silver 200 AV12

 Silver 200 AV12 | Speaker System | Monitor Audio

In this surround kit, the Silver 200s, the smallest of three pairs of floorstanding speakers in the long-running Silver series of this sixth generation of Monitor Audio, are the headline act.

But the floorstanders' stage is shared with three equally talented characters, the Silver C150 centre speaker, Silver FX surround speakers and Silver W-12 subwoofer, despite the 200 appearing in the title of this set.

Crashes, bangs and wallops are hurled at the audience, as if with immense cohesion, literally flung across the room as each speaker complements the character of the others.

6. Elac Debut 2.0 5.1 Home Theatre System

ELAC Debut 2.0 Home Theater Speaker System Review - HomeTheaterHifi.com

This surround package blends the supremely talented Debut 2.0 F5.2 floorstanders and Debut 2.0 B5.2 standmounts with two pairs of five-star stereo speakers, then throws a similar center speaker and sub for what is one of the most composed, comprehensive and well-matched systems we have heard at this price.

For an even more immersive sonic experience, Dolby Atmos topper speakers are available as well. We will gladly spend as much time watching our favorite movie scenes as possible just to hear what this speaker kit can do.

7. KEF Q350 AV 5.1

KEF Q Series Q350 Speaker System Review | Sound & Vision

If room isn't a problem, you might want to try this genius KEF set-up for yourself. Of course, it is the sonic capacity of these speakers that justified a five-star ranking, but there's no denying the brutish stature of the KEF Q350 5.1 kit or the physical command it has over our listening space. Surely this isn't one for a tiny bedsit.

With a sound to match, it's big and bold: you are treated to a beautifully immersive experience where the speakers and sub work together to create a beautifully cohesive soundfield.

8. Dali Spektor 2 5.1

Dali Spektor 2 5.1 Speaker Package with Dali C-8 D Subwoofer | SpatialOnline

This Dali would have picked up a What Hi-Fi? if it wasn't for Q Acoustics' stellar offerings in the 5.1 room (above), An honor or two of their own.

It combines a quartet of Spektor 2 stand-mount speakers with the Spektor Vokal centre speaker and the small-yet-mighty Sub C-8 D subwoofer, back-to-back award winners in their own right.

With the sub providing plenty of scale, it provides a fast, thorough and gratifyingly entertaining listen. Dialogue has a warmth to it that is unfortunately lacking in many systems, and a truly cinematic experience is made by the impeccable sense of timing.

9. Jamo S 807 HCS

 Jamo S 807 HCS review | What Hi-Fi?

A bundle of 7.1 Dolby Atmos at this price seems too good to be true. But it's not just an absolute steal, it's also a really clean, lightweight affair, literally so compact that Jamo recommends you put the subwoofer under the sofa.

For ease, how's that? The sound is dynamic and full of body, and for all but the most discerning home cinema audiophiles, the low end, though a little gentle, is ample. You'll be able to spend a little more on a smoother sound if that's you, but the Jamo is still a fine choice for the money.

10. Fyne Audio F302 AV

Product review: Fyne Audio F302 speakers - Richer Sounds Blog | Richer Sounds Blog

This is the first Fyne Audio product we reviewed that didn't earn five stars, but that's more down to the competition than any reflection on this package's prowess.

The F302 floorstanders still have the wow factor that got them straight onto our Awards list, and generally work well with the F300 standmount surrounds and F300C centre. Indeed, it's a more than capable system, managing to be both swift and agile and full of enthusiasm.

The F3-8 sub adds plenty of bass weight, without sacrificing the level of pace and detail. You'll just have to be careful to pair it with a home cinema amp that's up to the task.
